The phone rang the other day and I picked it up to be greeted by a very hard assed voice on the other end. This voice informed me rather directly that he was collecting donations for the police association and wouldn’t I like to contribute. He stated in a clear yet incomprehensible tone that that this money will go to help kids do something or other but also it would also be used to “keep violent criminals behind bars because that’s where they belong isn’t it!”

I muttered some sort of agreement like noise and he continued with pre determined donation amounts that I could give. I said I didn’t want to donate and he preceded to go into how there were also other smaller amounts that could be given. I hung up.

Do I want to give money under threat that violent criminals are about to over run the city? The fact that this guy would try and pull something that dodgy illustrates how poorly our cops are doing when it comes to social skills.

“Do as I say because I am authority and therefore not to be questioned. If you do not obey violent criminals will eat your children.”

No wonder these fuck heads are killing and brutalizing so many people, tasing like there’s no tomorrow. They haven’t got a clue as to how to actual talk to human beings, how to deal with complex situations , how to resolve conflict without brute force. We have turned our police forces into heavily armed robots. Efficient, brutal and answering only to the powers that be. These are police state cops, brown shirt cops. The movie Robocop has come true! Fuck!

Hopefully our police, like Robocop, will rediscover there humanity, realize that the root of crime problems stem from the policies and corruptions of the powerful and start really taking care of business, hopefully by blowing shit up, like the entirely inhuman robot cop Ed 209.

Also, no, I do not want to give my hard earned money to keep people behind bars. I want to pay taxes into a system that deals with the social problems that lead to crime and thus to less people being in jail.

So fuck off.
