SHAME!!!
How can I even express my disgust at being part of a country that is complicit in the barbarity of Guantanimo? Video just got released of the Canadian boy Khadr being interogatted by CSIS. The boy plead for help, for release from a hell of isolation, hopelessness and torture. But we do nothing, our government stands in tacit support of the medieval policy of brutality and torture.
The most disgusting moment is when some CIA expert comes on and tells us this video is harmless, that there is nothing scandalous here. Well Mr. Asshole, let’s take your 16 year old son away from you, shoot him through the chest twice, interrogate him endlessly, lock him in a small confined space, deny him sleep for days on end, deny him lawyers, deny him contact with loved ones and the outside world in general. Let’s water-board him, make him think he is never getting out and pull some secretive torture shit. In six years we’ll do a video interview that looks much the same as this one and show it to you, then tell me how innocuous it is you sick fuck.
Thank you Steven Harper for making me and my nation a supporter of torture, the torture of children even.
