Since I'm not from Vancouver, I have the luxury of being able to leave it, which I am doing in a month, back to MTL. True, I'll never be rich there and sometimes the city can be just as self-centred and ridiculous as Vancouver and indeed the city is corrupt but, BUT, there's no shame of being poor there and poverty doesn't spin out into violence the same way. How many things that could make life easier for the less fortunate have been shot down by the rich and privileged as they might be just unacceptable? Life in Vancouver under Sam Sullivan has declined so much and in order to clear it up for Olympics he wants to get tough on poor people? Hopefully we can get rid of Kim Il Sullivan before he does us all in.
